The following diagnostic tests and procedures for vascular and endovascular conditions are performed by registered ultrasound technologists and vascular specialists in Carrollton and Villa Rica:
Abominal Vascular Ultrasound
Vascular ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of the insides of the arteries in your deep abdominal organs. The test uses ultrasound imaging to evaluate the blood flow and possible blockages or clots in the arteries of your kidneys. Learn more about an abdominal vascular ultrasound.
Ankle Brachial Index Test
An ankle-brachial index (ABI) is a test used to diagnose and predict the severity of peripheral artery disease (PAD), which is also called peripheral vascular disease (PVD). Learn more about an ankle brachial index test.
Atherectomy
An atherectomy is a procedure during which a specialized catheter is inserted into a blocked artery in your arms or legs to remove a buildup of atherosclerotic plaque from within the vessel. This procedure uses the same techniques used to clear plaque in large arteries leading to your heart. Learn more about an atherectomy.
Carotid Ultrasound
A carotid ultrasound uses ultrasound imaging to evaluate the blood flow and possible blockage or clots in the arteries of your neck. Learn more about a carotid ultrasound.

Cryoplasty
Cryoplasty, or cryo-balloon angioplasty, is very similar to traditional balloon angioplasty used to restore the flow of blood to heart vessels but in this case it is used to open blocked or narrowed vessels in your arms or legs. Learn more about cryoplasty.
Peripheral Arterial Angioplasty and Stenting
Peripheral arterial angioplasty and stenting is a common treatment for peripheral vascular disease. With angioplasty, a long, hollow tube called a catheter is used to create a larger opening in an artery to increase blood flow. A tiny coil, called a stent, is expanded inside the blocked artery and is left in place to keep the artery open. Learn more about peripheral arterial angioplasty and stenting.

Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound
A peripheral vascular ultrasound uses ultrasound imaging to evaluate the blood flow and possible blockage or clots in the arteries or veins of your legs or arms. Learn more about a peripheral vascular ultrasound.
Sclerotherapy
This procedure involves the injection of a concentrated saline or specially-developed solution into the spider or varicose vein. The solution then hardens, causing the vein to close or collapse. Healthier blood vessels located nearby absorb the blood flow of the collapsed vein. Learn more about sclerotherapy.
