@Mad Black
It was a story in the Legend universe, so there’s nothing stopping it from being canon in that universe.
No it wasn’t even part of the now known Legends continuity, it was branded under the Infinity label*, like most of the Star Wars Tales Comics, they are official what-ifs, like the Tag and Bink comics and other stuff.
Back then continuity was kinda fluid and there was canon pyramid. L>T>C>S>N.
There was L, for Lucas continuity, meaning the 6 Star Wars Episodes, T for Television, like The Clone Wars, C for the old EU including books, novels, comics, toys, S for the secondary canon, like the old Marvel Star Wars comics from the seventies and early eighties, and N for officially published Non-Canon material, like the infinity comics.

An experimental Tie Fighter. And yes, it was (and may still be) a part of the Star Wars universe. Not fan made. Also, the Tie Crawler:

Yeah I remember that one.
Scimitar Assault Bomber not a TIE since it doesn’t have twin ion engines.

I just know the two I brought up because I saw saw a few worst of videos, one on space vehicles of each Star Wars factions and one for ground vehicles. Tell me a little of the Scimitar, please.

For one thing if you at the co*ckpit you can probably tell it can detach and become an escape pod.

I can see that. Seeing as the Ties didn’t have any life support, that seems like an improvement.

No, I just think it’s overrated. it seems to have some good stuff in it, but it seems to have flaws and problems that I see people complaining about with the movies, just as bad or worst that are ignored for really no real reason.

well your skirting the line.
and no Abeloth isn’t a “boring interpretation of a Lovecraft god”. she is the embodiment of chaos in the star war universe, she was so strong that it took the combined efforts of the sith and the jedi masters to just fight her back when luke could powerful enough to merge with the force temporarily to be as powerful as 30 Jedi masters and shoot light side force lightning.

I’m not putting Legends on pedestal it had its share of “questionable” moments but it was expansive and varied and not in mainstream form like a movie so it was easy to focus on the things you like and ignore the rest.
But now be it good or bad it all just wiped out so now the expansive Star Wars Universe feels kinda hollow like it’s a barren wasteland that maybe has a few outposts of interests and a film franchise that feels like it has has very slightly more direction than DC’s.

She’s Star Wars’ take on Lovecraftion creations. She’s an all-powerful alien that has power that trumps the hero and is able to mess with reality for fun. She’s a Lovecraftion god minus what made them interesting. I know this because I’m a Lovecraftion nerd.

I think it’s best to view them as two different canons, one recognized by Disney and the other not so much. Even than, it seems that Disney wants to keep the good stuff from the old canon, and gives a different interpretation of characters and events in the newer canon, so they still remember the EU and its events.

Then they should have put more thought into than “yeah I guess that happened whatever”.

I’m not an expert on the old or new, so I can’t speak of the quality of either, though would you prefer if they just dropped the EU altogether?

I would have preferred it if they said anything around 1000 years BBY or over still happened that’s a start.
